GunBroker.com 'Saved Search' Glitch
 

I found this out the hard way... :rolleyes:

If you have a problem with your GunBroker.com account, and it gets suspended for any reason and restored, your Saved Searches/Email Notification will all revert to "Do Not Receive Emails"... :eek:

Attached is a screen grab of me changing all my Saved Searches back to "Receive Emails"...

This has happened to me twice; both times because my BlackBerry browser connects to the Internet through an app called "Tether", which uses Verizon/InfoLink as its server...And several anti-spam programs/services [like 'SpamCop'] have blacklisted InfoLink and GB subscribes to one of those services, and will suspend your account for using that server...Took me a while to track down the problem and identify it...

My BlackBerry browser is much faster than my home PC connection...But the downtime is 3-4 days while GB checks my account and determines I'm not delinquent...And then restores it...

It's not a problem for everybody...But it might be a good idea to check your saved Searches occasionally and see if they're still good... :thumbup:

My Gunbroker.com account was suspended again today, for as long as it took me to email their service...Like, five minutes...

It seems I have a $1.00 balance in my account; a 'refund' from a seller who 'overcharged' me $1.00 on shipping a firearm to my FFL LGS...And a plus balance seems to throw them all off... :(

So now I have to go back in and re-check all my 'Saved Searches' to 'Instant Email Notification' again... :grr:
