S/42 06?
 

Can anyone explain how this S/42 code Mauser pistol acquired a Swiss pattern grip safety?

I am no expert but it looks like to me that a very talented smith built this. The barrel has been numbered to match the frame, the stock lug has been ground. The safety area has been milled away, can't tell for sure but it looks like it even has a narrow trigger installed.
