This is a fascinating holster..It has seen much in the way of repairs and modifications. I suspect it was originally made in the configuration of a type 1 Imperial Navy. The front closure flap looks to have the teardrop shape cut off and rounded. The closure stud is still in place even though a closure buckle has been added. The closure buckle is in the Imperial Navy type 2 style.
Hard to say what kind of loops were on the back to begin with..
The closure button snap on the tool pouch looks shiny new?

This is not a holster I have ever seen before so it makes it especially interesting.

Could this be several modifications to an early Swiss military holster? Some of the lines seem to resemble the Swiss holsters I have seen on ebay...

I had a similar holster in my collection a few years ago (it is now in the collection of Klaus M.). Here are some photos (some are before restoration of the rod pouch closure flap). As Jerry says the closure flap of the holster listed on ebay has been cut off and rounded, and a bukkle added.
Btw, I still have in the rest of my collection this kind of early holster for a LP08 (attached photos).

Here's one I picked up a few years ago.

Beautiful rig George, and the gun isn't bad either. I don't know what to make of the steel closure studs on the holster and pouch, I always thought that steel was a war time expedient.
Best regards, Norm

Norm they are nickle plated brass.
