British-proofed Colt 1913 Government Model
9 Attachment(s)
Here for your viewing pleasure is my Colt .45ACP Government Model pistol C 4958 which was 1 of 40 shipped to the London Armoury Company on September 3, 1913. It was probably one of the earliest shipped to England - if only this pistol could talk! I shot it a few times with 1942 .45 ACP and it performed flawlessly - not bad for a 100 yr old pistol! It's interesting to compare this pistol to the Model 1913 .455 Webley-Scott Navy automatic pistol.

Thanks Varilfeman
Very nice and very rare Colt 1911 variant. I notice that the frame is stamped Interarms.Where these Colts imported by them back in the 70's and 80's? Did you get a Interarms box with it? Its looks like a arsenal? refinish over the pitting. Have never seen a Interarms Colt 1911 import, seen plenty of P38's,Walters,Astras,etc,etc. "Verrry Interesting" as Padredan would say. Bob |
ohhhh, I love it. I like 45's as much as Lugers (carried one in the army for 3/4 of my career).

Yup,the price of old Colt 1911's seems to be climbing pretty high. Esp for war used guns.:crying: I wanted to comment on your visit to the old Interarms Warehouse. That have been like visiting Aladdin's "Cave of Wonders" for a gun collector. I am so jealous  Bob |
