Received this today in my email. Father and son were hog hunting in a blind and this 'ol fellow thought he would share the blind with them. 9.5 ft, 22 rattles, > 5inch head width. Fangs were 2.5 inches long. This was in Midway, TX.

Old??? Good eating???

What'd they kill him with??? :D

Wait a minute...He's got a bag of Purina Rattlesnake Chow in the truck!!! :grr:

That be one big shaky tail! The one that bit me only had 13 rattles. You would have to have a 10 gallon hat to use him for a hatband!

Now *THAT* is a snake!

The guy holding it is awful short...Don't they grow them big in Texas???

I have to wonder about that picture...That's at least 60 pounds of snake...Holding it out on a stick...

How reliable is that emailer, Steve???

Well... The snake in this photo is estimated to weigh "97 Pounds". I don't know many people who could hold 90+ pounds at arms length on a catch pole or a stick. I would seriously doubt that the guy in this photo, or the young man in the photo above is that strong.

I have seen the OP photo before, but just can't remember where. I saw it a few months back.
