Vopo Lugers

I know these pistols are ex WW II L ugers used in the East German Peoples Police (I.E VOPO) .Could someone please give me a little more background on these and are they fairly good shooters/reasonable priced ?

There is an extensive chapter on Deutsche Volkspolizei ("Vopo") Lugers in the book Police Lugers.
