Here is one problem. To me this is always a dead giveaway, pull strap should be continually stitched from the left belt loop and closer to the loop. I don't think you will ever find an original holster stitched like this. Also, the stitch across the top should cross the stitching for the mag pouch. There are additional stitching issues as well.

I agree wit the assessments made. A modern reproduction that has been artificially aged.

Thanks a lot for the replies.
By the way - do police holsters exist with a "P.08" marking? |

Steve, While correct in general..The stitching we speak of here should be side by side but not continually stitched. Oddly enough these are stitched seperately although they certainly look continually stitched! A strange but true fact no one probably cares about.. |

Thanks for the info, just looking it looks continually stitched. Learn something new everyday. |
just looking it looks continually stitched. Steve..Yes it does! After taking hundreds of them apart to replace broken lifting straps..It isn't so..The belt loop was sewn in and backstitched on itself. Then in a totally seperate sewing operation the pull-up strap is sewn in!
The real beauty of this is that you can unstitch either of these and not disturb the stitching of the other. I don't know that this was intentional but there it is..convenient for me. |
