Let the bidding war begin!
Wowee! $.01 start, no reserve! What gives?!? --no bids and it's already been up for 2 hours!

Give it time. Many bids come in the last few hours of the auction.

Chas, just kidding around. I expect this set to go for significantly over a thousand dollars by the end, since it is numbered and WA stamped all over. I know the earlier WWII kits command the highest prices. The one-penny starting price with no reserve, I'm sure, reflects the seller's confidence that he will wind up getting top dollar. And the condition of this one looks pristine.
Outta my league at this point... But I think I could still afford a SE-08/2 version--that's the kit with the best-looking toggle knobs, the latest produced, and, I expect, the most economical of these .22lr conversion kits. D.P. BTW, 5 hrs after start, it's up to $231, after two bids! |
I will be leaving for Tulsa in 3 hours and will check on it when I get back. I would like to have it, but at this point in time money is tight and it is not high on my list. I just might place a bid on it if it is not too high when I get back from Tulsa - just to say that I tried. :D
I know the sellers and they are good people. |
Keep in mind that owners reserve the right to end the auction at any time and that includes one minute before it ends, should they not get the price they are looking for. "No Reserve" as far as these online auctions go is a deceptive sales strategy.
