G Date

I have a G Date that I picked up over 30 years ago that I was told was an arsenal refinish. The price was definitely right and it is definitely a professional job; it looks original. It's that good. Here's the issue and what the seller said indicated it was an arsenal job. Just behind the barrel on the barrel extension(receiver) is what looks like a multiplication sign etched into the steel. Anyone know anything about this???

Thanks

Do you mean the left side of receiver near the serial number? Do the small parts, trigger-safety lever-mag release-takedown lever-ejector have a yellow or straw color?

Do you mean an "X"???

If so, it may be a Russian Capture. They are that good.

Dan -

Here's a link to a couple [poor] pics of my RC/VoPo P-38. The "X"'s on this are above the trigger, left side.
