Here are some pics of my all matching s42 in its new home. Also got one for my Grandfathers 1911a1 he carried through Europe and in the Buldge. A former Marine made them along with the grips currently on the 1911. I love the way they turned out. He does awesome work at a reasonable price. I can give you his contact info if anyone is interested. He can also do them in custom sizes, shapes, wood, ect.

Nice displays and examples.

Pick up a set of the original GI plastic grips for the 1911. They are cheap and they just look right on this historic pistol.

I still have the original grips. Those are for a test fit. My friend has been doing woodwork for awhile now. Bowls, pens/pencils, cutting boards, humidors, frames, ect. I got him to make the box for the 1911. After it was done I told him he should start making display cases, grips, and other firearm related stuff. So now I am trying to get him some business. Here is another pair of grips he made.

Thanks again
