Texas Lugersmith??
 

I have a 1917 DWM Navy shooter (rebarreled and reblued at some point in its life) that sometimes takes multiple trigger pulls to fire.

I gather from reading here that it may be fairly easily repairable.

Does anyone know of a Luger literate gunsmith in Texas?

I travel the I35 corrider from San Antonio to Oklahoma City several times a year and would like to be able to drop the pistol off on one trip and perhaps pick it up on a later journey.

Used to travel Houston-Beaumont regularly (enroute to Louisiana) but not so much anymore.
I'm only 2 hours west of Houston though so if you'd send me your real world contact info I'll call or email once I figure out when I can shake loose and run over there.

You may be able to fix the problem yourself, sometimes the sear plunger gets sticky and doesn't work like it should. Remove the sideplate and the plunger will be exposed. See if it moves freely. Make sure it is unloaded before you do this. If it is sticky some penetrating oil will loosen it up.
