You have some US Army packaged WW1 ammo for the 1911 Colt . Very nice! Not rare but not common. If you would like to part with a box,it would go great with my WW1 Colt 1911! The 9mm Steyr ammo is also nice. It is for the Steyr M1912. The semi-automatic service pistol of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in WW1. It was loaded from a stripper clip. Not really interchangeable with anything else. I think Fiocchi still loads for this caliber once in awhile. Good looking box! Happy Holidays! Bob |
The Steyr ammo might be Spanish or Latin American. The box states the ammunition is "Airplane Brand" is Spanish, which would indicate a foreign production or Steyr production for a foreign company.

The Steyr ammunition was made by RWS / Geco in Durlach near Karlsruhe.
The box style leaves no doubt about that. I attached a similar style Geco branded .30 luger box. |
Thanks to George Anderson

This all began with these 2 boxs of ammo. Then the drum and loader. Then a complete matching 1917 DWM Artillery luger with original and matching artillery rig. Then Jerry and friends made an exact trommel crate. It all came together resulting matching and original stock and gun! 169 Baden Infantry. '169.R1.k.6' Thanks to George Anderson and Jerry Burney! Perfect and Luger hormony.
