I'd say chrome and actually newer than older, unless they shined up the chrome!

Wonder if this is one of those Chinese knock-offs, they have that kind of jibberrish on them sometimes.

Anyway, I heard that somebody walked around with a plated Broomhandle at the Sparta gun show last weekend, trying to sell it for $400. I assume that this is the same guy, it's the same handle he used on GOC. I never got to see him or the pistol, but it ought to be pretty darn bad if he didn't get any takers at that price.

think it might have been buffed before it was plated????? lol

Wish I could see what the inscription is on the right side. Looks like part of it might be CCCP. Now if it just had crossed rifles, that would cinch it. :rolleyes:

He had this gun for sale this summer on GB but was in poor orginal condition if I remember right.

well sure not original condition now, he says it's russian, is it /. the oddball in me is wanting to bid on it, but i am resiting it.
