Are these grips original?

I purchased these but they do not fit my luger.(would need to be fitted) Can someone tell me if these are real or fake? Thanks

IMHO they are real reproductions. AKA fakes. I'm judging by the courseness of the checkering and overall condition, no oil stains on the edges, etc. The numbers are added to try to pass them off as originals.
However on a recent commercial Luger it showed similar checkering and others here accepted them as originals, so let's see that they have to say.

The long tail at the bottom front of the grips would indicate that they would not drop into an existing frame but would require fitting.

I agree that these are reproductions which have never been on a gun.

+1, all the above makes sense.
Also, something looks weird on the back regarding the router marks; they are most pronounced--I've never observed this on original grips. Has anyone else?

Repros..he says no returns or exchanges but if it means him going from 100% feedback to 99% I bet he would take them back. Just my opinion.

It matters not a whit what he says about no returns on E-bay. If the item is not as described he will be forced to take it back and refund your money. File a case thru E-bay, and if you paid thru paypal file with them too. It will take a bit of time but people like this need to find another rock to hide under.

They are Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) manufactured reproductions made of wood that used byf Bakelite ("Black Widow") or Kreighoff bakelite grips as the model for the basic shape... the checkering is NOT like the original, but the inside features give away the method of manufacture.

Since they are a copy of an original grip using a stylus following the curves of the original, the slight differences based on the router bit used have produced them slightly "off size" so they require fitting...

Nice concept, but certainly not original grips.
