Steve, nice gesture. Magazine 9894u is proper for a 1937, 1939 and 1941 Luger. BUT, there are differences. In order to tell the correct pistol, we need more information. A picture of the bottom will go a long way. :)

Steve, if i can guess, the magazine is marked with a "fxo" on the side, along with two eagle over 37 marks. If so, the magazine is for a 41 byf Luger. I hope someone has the pistol. Thanks for the addittional info.

Looked over entire clip with jewelers loupe....no marks anywhere on it!

Would that mean 1937, pre-war as no military inspector marks?

Why not just post a couple of pictures and that would clear everything right up.

Puh-leeze -- no more"clips." There are stripper clips for 1903 Springfield rifles and eight-round clips for M1 Garand rifles, but no clips for semi-automatic pistols, and that includes German Lugers. These weapons are loaded with ammunition magazines -- not clips.

Mid 1920's for mag wood to aluminum. I would say 1927 or thereabouts for DWM but Simson started new production w aluminum.

The clip vs mag is silly, too many arguments over it. In the Luger world, most folks say magazine, but in the overall community, it depends on who is talking. Lets not argue over this please.
