Your inheritance is of a complexity that you may need to have someone formally appraise it.

You can establish values by taking the items one at a time, providing good overview and detailed photos and then posting them for members to look at.

There are a great many variations in Lugers and Luger related accessories.

There are also many possible issues relating to correctness; finish originality; rareness and other details, including the purpose of the valuation (resale pricing; insurance value; etc...).

If you're doing this for an estate probate, you probably need an appraiser.

Not sure if you are in the U. S., Ramon, but I don't see why a collector's license (C&R) would help you sell the guns or holsters. Maybe it is a local thing or maybe you are outside of the USA?

One of Ramon's two "blogspot" URLs is from Mexico. The other is the .com system in the USA.

It sounds like you're planning on selling - once you can get an authority to check them out - if you have a set of parts or a mismatched rough piece - I'm very interested - even if it's a parts set.

Are you in the US? I don't really know of any places that you have to be licensed here to do a private sale.

Ramon,

While you don't need a collector's license in Mexico to sell the leather, you will to sell the guns, if your Father has passed or is unable.

I know a collector in Mexico City who may be able to help you.

Ramon,

His name is Pedro Capetillo. I don't have his contact information anymore but he was a large Luger collector and had all the proper permits for his collection. He lives in the 700 block of Paseo de la Reforma in Lomas de Chapultepec in the DF.

Such a lot to look at. Most of which I don't know what they are without labels. Some I know I have an interest in.
really nice items - in my book.
