Black Widow Grip/Mag verification
Hello,
I just purchased this 'black widow' yesterday and I was looking to get your views on whether or these grips and this magazine are real/fake. The grips don't seem to fit very well on my luger on the right hand side and that sparked my curiousity. They both, however, seem very worn and they are loose :( Maybe I can put in some different screws to help keep them from bouncing around all the time. Off topic question, but would using a silicon wiping cloth be OK for this gun? http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps6c6ae0f3.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/n...pse5d7cf3e.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps8b8187f8.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/n...psa848a9f3.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/n...psf7e55854.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/n...pse62b5f0b.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/n...psc8da7e9f.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/n...psf4b854fb.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps4f2e9216.jpg |
Both grips and mag are authentic.

This is not a mark I've seen before and it is certainly not factory. I think your theory is a good one; some previous collector merely wanted to keep his grips and pistols straight.

In answer to your mag matching question. No, there is no way except to say it is period correct. Bill
