For all the help

I just want to offer my thanks and appreciation for the sharing of knowledge and advise offered by so many here in my acquization and a very succesful trade I made including the selling of the very nice Colt Police Positive for what turned out to be a Imperial Naval 1906 altered Luger, I think I got that correct, that I kind of stumbled up on.
That type of deal doesn't happen often, now I am not a gun dealer or big time trader. I see a gun that I am drawn to and want to own and I am already familiar with or have the opportunity to research before I buy or trade for it. Then someone ask "How Much" and you are off on another adventure. I just hope we all do all we can to keep this right that has been an American heritage since the forming of this country. I had an alert email earlier warning that the United Nations wanting basically all the free countrys of the world to agree to a firearns pact or agreement not just to manage weapons of war but even your skeet shotgun and we have a President who made promises to do something to stop the sale of small arms in someway that would agree to this treaty in a minute if it ever comes to a vote. Check and see how many small ammo manufacturers have been bought out and then shut down. One of the oldest fireams companies in our country has been purchased by the same company buying and closing ammo companies and another is being enticed to sell. I guess if there is no ammo or reloading components we can have our favorite guns framed in shadow boxes unless we let our guard down and they are collected someday. I know there are some or even a lot that thinks that could never happen but look around the world and even some of our major cities and see what has already happened.
No I am not an officer in the NRA and not even a life member I just reup every year and when I can I send them $5.00 or $10.00 a few times a year to help pay their legal teams and fight our battle for us.
I am still in recovery from a heart attack folowed within a month by three strokes which left me in a semi-coma for a few months and a wheelchair for two years . I had my annual echo a couple of weeks ago which showed my heart function and ejection fraction had gone down substancially since last year so he had me take a chemical stress test a few days ago. Then my Cardiologist calls me at 7:00 pm that night and says you flunked big time so at 10:00 this morning I have a catherization. I hope the worse there is will require a stint or stints and nothing more that would set me back because you can't imagine how hard I work loosening stiff joints and trying to strengthen weak muscles and relearn everything.
So if you will keep a good thought for me I will appreciate it and I will be back!

Welcome, after 6 posts. :bigbye:

Sounds like you've been through a LOT. Would be nice to know a little more about you. Possibly what part of the c(o)untry you are from. Everyone should support the NRA, as opposed to the IRA, or not. :biggulp:

You all didn't pick up on that southern drawl in my typing, I am a 63 year old male from Tallapoosa, Georgia. We are around fifty miles west of Atlanta two miles from the Alabama state line. We occassionly get a visa to go into Alabama to shop, I ment to say Visa card.

Do you know what an Alabama University graduate and a tornado have in common ?

They both wind up in a trailer park someday!
That was the only way I knew to ask it without losing affect!
Really Alabamians are good ole southern folk like us Georgians.
Looking forward to learning more about Lugers.

Whew made it

I am one weak puppy but they were able to use angioplasty this time and I avoided another heart attack. I try to stay as fit as I can with Parkinson's by doing over a hundred leg lifts with each leg, lift 6 lb. dumb bells 60 reps in two directions w/each arm etc. I am 5ft,11 inches @ 192. I stay as active as I can but I was turned down to be inducted in 1968 due ti severe hypertension, didn't know what that was.
Anyway eat right, exercize and go to your Doctor with tightness in the chest, shortness of breath or any type of chest pain, I don't want to buy your guns at auction from your Wife!
