1 Attachment(s)
What came first? The luger or take down. Did anyone think of filing a patent or trademark? What else could survive a century in it original form. Whats exciting Is there are all manner of markings. What are the rarest? Is there anyway to spot a fake? Tks Eric

The fine book by Hallock & van de Kant The Mauser Parabellum 1930 - 1946 has dedicated a whole chapter of about 36 pages to it.
An estimated 1,150,000 were produced from 1930 - 1946 alone. Nico van Gijn has design drawings back from July 25, 1901 made by G. Luger himself. I do not regret investing in this book with its wealth of information! |
Stupid Me! I have the way cool book and some how missed it! TKS

You are welcome!
It is easy to overlook, the first time that I thumbed through the book, I missed the part about the magazines. I only found it, when I took the time to read the whole book and have to say that I really enjoyed it. |
Its your best weapon!!

I would hope that someday, before I die, that Nico van Gijn documents the best of his collection in his own book... most of us would be awestruck to see the one of a kind items he holds...
If you are watching, do you have original Navy and Artillery Luger blueprints Nico? (Please?) :) |
