I've always wondered what happened to the side panel on this one. Maybe there was a plate attached at one time, who knows. Other than that, this would be a high condition example.

I have a Luger unit marked much like your: 1911 DWM, sn 9823e, marked: R.I.R.72.1.(added) M.G.61.: 72nd Reserve Infantry Regiment, 1st Machine Gun Company, Weapon 61. It is a 1908 DWM sn 6747, marked R.I.R.72.1.(added) M.G.34. shown on page 290 Central Powers Pistols. Congratulations Jan |
