1937 s/42
I was looking at this Mauser and it appears to be blued where it should be strawed? I thought the early 1937's were all strawed? Thanks, Curt

There is little doubt that this gun has been reblued.

The listed serial number is 7050a. The "a" suffix was at the very end of 1937 production, therefore the small parts should be blued.

Curt,
You are absolutely correct. The early 1937s were strawed. But, this is not early production. The 1937 production started with the p-suffix and ended with the b-suffix. Best, John |
