Wed was Luger night on TV

Wife called me down at 8 when outdoor channel had Stories of the Gun on, was a full feature on the Luger P08. Then later on Cajun Pawn Star had an episode where a guy was selling a GI bring back Luger. Did not sell, he wanted $5K for it. Anyone catch these last night?

I saw the Stories of The Gun episode. Thought it was pretty good, but usually they stay on one gun for the whole show and I was surprised to see them spend so much time on the P38 when they should of just done a whole episode on it too.

I saw the Cajun Pawn Stars episode.

They drove out to someone who had an all matching 1916 Erfurt that also had the holster, stripping tool & both magazines. The pawn shop's expert said it was worth $1500-$2000 (for everything). The guy did want $5000 & the pawn shop owner offered him $2200 despite the expert's opinion (being very generous) but the guy wouldn't take it but he did let them shoot it.

Me too,
i didn't watched this episode, but they have reruns of some episodes on history channel all the time. I have always some doubts, because most of those TV shows are 'scripted reality'. So you can't be sure if it is real or not. Yesterday, a guy tried to sell two genuine US WWI trench knifes.

These shows are mostly staged. Rare antiques and historically important items are rarely sold through pawnshops today.
