lucky coins

Coins are interesting and pleasing. Sometimes I'll collect coins.

Was surprised to read that Eisenhower had "lucky coins" during World War II. Probably varied at times, have read that his lucky coins included a US silver dollar, an English 5 guinea gold piece, a French franc, a US 1943 zinc penny, an English 1943 farthing, an English 1932 half crown, a French 1941 50 centimes, and five Arabic coins.

Was sorry to hear the US was discontinuing the presidential dollar coins. Thought they were nice, and they were good gift coins for kids.

Just thinking about coins....

I am not a huge collector of coins, but have picked up the dollar coins and enjoyed the state quarters very much

Since 1986 till now our mint is authorized to make the beautiful siver dollars again also in proof. The are very affordable as their price is just a few dollars over the spot price of Silver around $29. You could not find a nicer gift for a better price, Eric
