1937 S/42 arrived

I picked up this 1937 S/42 this weekend. It will fill a gap in the collection. It is a no-suffix late 1937 pistol, unmessed with, showing little use overall.

The collage shows it with a 1937 training manual and a 1937 holster.

Great looking Luger. There have been a few that have showed up lately that look virtually "new". congratulations.

Very nice Sir. Ahh to think that my '37 S42 once looked as nice...before my time though.

Nicest 1937 S42 I have seen posted since the short time I have been on the luger forum

Gun's super! Magazine matches the gun?

A.Mifsin 06-28-2012 01:41 AM

Congratulation, a rare find if I may say so.;)
Alf.

The magazine is not matching, but it is proper for the serial range (no suffix).

Terry Tiell 06-29-2012 11:03 AM

Damn wish mine looked half that good.

Thor 06-29-2012 12:38 PM

A real beauty Gerben. Great acquisition!

Bet you paid over a hundred bucks for that baby!

Vlim 06-30-2012 06:30 AM

I did :)

(but it still cost less than my refurbished S/42 shooter, which I bought many years ago)

I have no war era Mausers (yet). Rare or otherwise, it is a beautiful pistol. Now, where's my drool bucket?

I'd let you borrow mine, but it is already full. :)
