Did all lugers share the ammunition
The only ammo I've found is 2 boxs of 1917 brown and blue label. Then your basic 1944 nazi. What about every one else? IE Weimer Police? I fould the gun yet no period ammo!

Weimar ammo is hard to come by - I have only a box and its not for sale ;)

Really tough ammo to come by...Ed is lucky.

Eric, here are photos of two boxes I have. One is clearly marked and dated 1920 while the other with the midsection gone is marked "Fertungsjahr 191?(either 8 or 9)-----Lieferung unbekannt" year manufactured (completed) 191?-----production lot unknown.

Here are some examples of complete boxes. The bottom box is a very rare boxed case of Polte 1925 Drill / Exercise rounds.
The top box is a 1924 box, with a deliberately vague label. The contents consist of a combination of Belgian and Swiss made components. The use of foreign made ammunition components was necessary to avoid possible detection by the Interallied Control Commission. (uploading messed up the order of the photos, the fist is a scan of the Polte exercise rounds from the bottom box). |
Beautiful, They all contained 20 rounds!

I'm Sure This Ammunition Fits
