Sunday Nite Question..
Hey Guys...Im looking at a known Dealers Website at some Luger Pistols...planning on picking up a 1918 DWM....The question I have is ..what is the difference in the ad between...
1918 DWM LUGER.... ..and 1918 DWM MILITARY I hate to ask such a naive question...however Im not familiar with the difference......help me out here.....Thanks guys......Hans Fischer |
Hans, since there is no such a thing as a DWM 1918 commercial, I would say there is no difference.

Just whoever typed each one, didn't type it the same
However, I don't know if I am so sure. My feeling is that pistols bought by officers and senior NCO's purchased by themself would only get military approved weapons? I know earlier in the war that commercial lugers were still being purchased, I know that NO Erfurts were ever commercially marked, but were the five digit commercials made only before and after the war? Hans, I assume you are picking up a luger book for each luger you buy? :) . . |
ANY date on a luger indicates Military other than 1920 which is a property mark. IF any luger you are looking at is marked 1918..it's military.

Hans,
Here is a link to a 1918 DWM rig that I saw at Simpsom LTD. Good luck in your quest for a 1918 DWM. I hope you find something very nice! Richard |
