Is this one of those mutated Parabellums?

In other words when Mauser had the leftover 06/70 parts and were assembling the P-08's, or whenever that transition was made, is this the hybrid??? Does the 9mm Luger indicate low serial number also as in my .30? 2098?

No, this is a standard early 29/70 model.
The one shown below is a transitional model. It has the P08 style frame, but the small parts from the 29/70 series. |
AMazing, this is going to be the next Luger I buy, one in 9mm. I had one with a 4 inch in 9mm, long gone. But I want a 6. I just wrote on a post on a Stoeger Luger, it just amazes me the effort people go through to fake a gun. So when someone takes a Luger, makes it into something it isn't, than it is discovered fake, is the gun than worth less? I never saw the point in faking guns, especially whwen you know in your heart it isn't legit. But I guess if that fake mark can bring you in extra money, people will do anything. I would love to see threads of all faked Lugers and marks so i can learn, this is an area of Lugers I need to study. Thank you for posted this. I really like the lines and look of these Swiss renditions.
