Erics strange holster
3 Attachment(s)
Many year ago I came across this brown holster with a upright bear. I"m going to want to sell it but I would like to know what it is!I dont want to go 'Bear Ask'!
|
Eric, I had one identical to this one. My 1907 Dreyse fit it perfectly. I recall someone saying that the Bear is a Berlin maker's mark.

There is clearly a maker's name as well. Can you make out what the stamped letters next to the bear say, Eric?
|
First Thank You. I was told the Ludwaffe carried the smaller guns in holsters for easy concelement. I would go with a 9mm. There only seem to have a very faint another round. Other that nothing!

Thanks Ron. Now to figure what to do with it! TKS

Nice holster. Get a nice Dreyse pistol and you will be all set!
The Bear logo is from the City of Berlin coat of arms. I have a Walther PP that was surplussed from the West Berlin police that has the Berlin coat of arms stamped on it.:) Bob |
I believe the holster is Finnish, the bear logo appears on Luger holsters as well as pocket pistol holsters I have seen.
