DWM logo on chamber strap

I went by one of our local gun stores this morning and they had one shooter Luger. It was heavily buffed (even the acceptance and proof stamps were virtually gone) and refinished, as well as mismatched. It had one feature that I haven't seen before--a DWM logo on the chamber, where dates are normallly found. It was slightly smaller than the logo on the toggle and was professionally done. I don't think it was engraved, as it was done as well as the toggle logo. Anyone else seen one like this?

Of course, they wanted too much for it--$995.

Greetings from Nashville. Apparently, at least according to Skynard, a southern man don't need you around anyhow. Profuse apologies if, as would be my luck, you are that Neil Young.

The 1908 Bulgarian Luger has the DWM logo on the chamber, and the Bulgarian Crest on the toggle. The gun you refer to could just have a mismatched toggle, if it also has the DWM on the toggle. Did you note if the safety was Bulgarian "07bHb" instead of "Gesischert"? Did it have a sling loop on the lower back strap?

Thanks Clark. You're plugging my old brain with more useful facts. No I didn't notice about the safety marking, but I will go back and check.

BTW, I'm not that Neil Young, and I'm not named after him. I'm actually older than him, if you can believe that anyone is older than him.
