Disjointed sound made it difficult to follow the nuances but I have to agree..very well done! The ending is not what one would come to expect...

It left me wondering how they would pick the dude who kept saying "someone approaches".

Neat vid. To let you know how my brain functions, from the very opening..after the walk through the field.. I kept wondering how they kept the paths so well groomed in those early times. Gee did they have a bunch of serfs with scissors trimming, trained sheep or did they just tramp it short. Really got me thinking about victorian lawn care. Maybe some prototype reel mowers like the ones I had to use to mow the seemingly acres of my youth. Alas, a John Deere.:thumbsup:

During my first tour in Germany I watched an elderly groundskeeper mowing the lawn at a large country home. He was using a scythe! He would take a couple of dozen passes with the scythe then stop, take a whet stone from his pocket, touch up the blade with a few strokes and start mowing again. The grass was evenly cut with no trace of a pattern...you couldn't do a better job with a modern mower. I was fascinated.

I had a similar experience to Ron's--in the countryside near Cali, Colombia; on many occasions I saw people cutting the grass on the side of the roads with machettes. In order to swing the blade horizontal to the ground, some men bent over sharply at the waste and some were actually on their knees. I guess this is what happens with very cheap labor.

By the way, they worked hard and did an excellent job.
