Book Idea
1 Attachment(s)
Maybe this is a little silly, but for a while now I've wanted to record my Luger's "history" in one place so in the future someone would have all that information with the pistol. Even though my reblued pistol isn't collectable, there are enough markings on it alone to describe a large chunk of German history. (I posted pictures of this pistol on the gunboards luger forum under the username marcap.) http://luger.gunboards.com/showthrea...-1918-1920-DWM
If anyone else has had the same idea, I found that you could put together a real nice and inexpensive ($30 shipped for 20 pages) book with your pictures and text at shutterfly.com It was a fun project, and I'm real happy with the result. Marc |
Marc,
Very nice!!! Well worth $30. |
Excellent idea! Even if it is not "collectable" (i.e. desirable to a select group of individuals), it is still historic, of interest and worthy of having it's history recorded. I have several firearms that have lots of family history, but not much collector interest. I would like to document these firearms in the way you have done with your Luger.

That is fantastic. I have 3 "family" weapons that will be passed on after me and I have always wondered how to document the history of the weapons and the information that I have found on them to be passed along. This seems to be the way to do that.
Thanks |
That is a great idea, nicely done!!! :)
