Due to my stroke my memory seems to getty worse, I bought this years ago and lost what one of our familys'opinion. The serial number is #1940L. Its got some strange notch on its side. Its in such beautiful shape and has markings. The holster have what seems military marks. This time Ill save any findings. Eric ps What a funky holster!

Eric,
The notch in the side is where the magazine safety was anchored before it was removed. |
How common is it? I never saw one before!!
|
It is fairly common, I believe about 1/4 to 1/3 of police guns received the mag safety.
You find them with mag and sear safeties, but you never find them with a mag safety and NO sear safety. ed |
Thanks Ed, Time for another book!
|
Its at the publishers right now, been working on it with Dwight Grubers help and guidance since November 2009
|
Eric,
The S# is 1940t (not 'L'). It is a 29 DWM. Lots of info about this variation in Jan Still's Weimar Lugers. |
Thank You, another stroke out!
