1900 american eagle questions

Thinking about buying a 1900 American. Are the grips on this gun supposed to be numbered/proofed? How about the magazine?
Thanks

Grips are originally numbered. Commercial magazines of any variation are not numbered.

I believe it would be normal for 1900 AEs to not have numbered grips.

Sorry, I misspoke. My 1900 AE Test Model does have numbered grips.

My test eagles grips are stamped with the last two digits of the serial number.

Mike, I would think that any that were 'possible' or in the range would be marked as military, while commercial would not be marked?

According to lugers at random, the test guns were pulled from regular production.

I must repeat myself, Old Model 1900 grips are numbered. Not guesswork, belief, or opinion.
