Jim,

Test firing would be a good idea because these pistols often have issues with proper function. Broken parts in a Stoeger .22 seem more difficult to replace than the imported counterpart, the Erma .22s, and even original Lugers. I've seen postings from a member who's looking for a spring for his. Don't figure on the Stoeger to be worth much more that $2-300 in the trade; way less if it does not work properly. One should be fun to shoot if it functions OK, accurate and economical.

I sent him a link to this site, hopefully he'll read up and decide weather to go for the trade or not. The stoeger is on tucson backpage and the seller is looking to trade it for a .22 revolver. jim
