Consecutive numbers? :|

Ok, just was wondering if anyone on the forum had a pair of consecutively numbered P.08's? Has anyone ever seen a pair? If all matching how much of a premium would you think the seller would ask? No I do not have a pair that I'm fishing for a price. It's just that I saw a pair of consecutively numbered 1903 Springfieldâ??s for big bucks and thought that it would be much easier to come across them than a Luger.

I have heard dealers say that it is difficult to get extra money for consecutive numbered pistols. Everyone thinks they are neat but nobody seems to want to buy two guns plus pay extra for the numbers. In the three years I was a dealer I once recieved two new stainless AMT .380 Backups (single action). They were numbered xx000 and xx001. The consecutive numbers were just what the distributor shipped me when I ordered, I think, three of them. I thought they were neat and kept them in my collection. Some day I'll have a pair of suspenders made with twin holsters built in for the tiny twin pistols.

Ok, just speaking of Lugers, what would be the % of increase in value? An extra $250-$500?

I think Collector Firearms had a pair of consecutive Portugese Lugers

But when I saw them in Houston, I thought they looked a little strange because the metial finish didn't seem consistent. I don't remember what they were asking...
