Waffen SS Helmet Liner

I'm establishing a little display around my Luger and would like to dress up my old grody WWII German helmet with the camo SS cover. Anyone know where I can pick up an original or repro??

Jim,

This is going to be costly for an original. Take a look at Manions Auctions and see if they have one listed. Otherwise do a search for Militia collectibles on the Internet. In with some of the folks taht sell the original stuff, you should find dealers which sell good repro items.

I have listed Manions and you can just click on it for the site. Go to the "German" catalog and look from there. Good luck!

Re: Waffen SS Helmet Liner

i just reworked a bring back german helmet my father-in-law brought back from normandy(29th rangers). it was painted camo but i got an authentic liner which matches the finish and a chin strap for under $100. got both from some gents on ebay, they have tons of it. liner will run you around $50 to 75. chin strap can go as high as $60 depending on the proof stamps. but there are lots of liners and they were all interchangable. just be sure to check and get the right size. the camo cover will be a high priced item though. be sure you get the pins for the liner and that you have ones that match the finish of the helmet. good luck.
