Has it ever been tried. I took the advice an had i check out to be sure its safe to fire. I forgot to ask if the addition of a drum ok! Tks Eric

Perfectly legal and should function just fine.

It will also work with a 1902 Luger Carbine even though they
are in 30cal. You can load 9mm or 30cal and they will work
just fine.

It seems most were 7.65 calibre. Mine was the rarer 9mm. Probobly for hunting..This is for collection! The rarest is the grees DWM box over 100 years old!
