Well, I jumped in.......

I purchased a 1914 military with matching #s and I would say very good metal (mild pitting) and good blue DWM. It has a really good bore. The only drawback is a weak mag. and a thumb depression on the left grip, otherwise very strong. I bought it from a 90 year old collector, and purchased a WW2 holster with it with a nazi badge on the buckle. It is really good shape with some re-stitch. Everything for 1400.00. I figure I can fit the holster with a WW2 luger in the future. I don't have pics at this time.

Sounds decent, a bit high I would think, but pictures would show us...

The 'mild pitting' can really detract from collector value.

When you say, all matching, does that include the magazine? Did you check ALL the small parts?

Maybe I pushed it with the mild pitting. It looks better that most of the 1700.00 ones that I have seen. Mag is a different #. Bluing might be 90 to 95%, very minor dings....

Here are few pics of the gun, in its original condition. The grip has the thumb depression. The holster is a ww2 model. I figure to retro fit to a proper ww2 luger in the future. It has the German military symbol on the side and is dated 1914. The mag does not match in number. The bore is about as good as it good possibly be.

That stitching looks awfully white. Are you sure the holster isn't a repro?

The Belt and Buckle is a Rare SA buckle worth a pretty penny in itself. Don't let the buckle go without serious research!

About the stitching; 2 small parts of stitching have been restitched by hand. I guess they deteriorated too badly. The leather itself is still very nice and pliable. Is it common to use polish on them to sharpen them up? The buckle I had already researched and it is a SA buckle in nice condition. There is a little pocket in the flap.... what is that for? The mag pocket is obvious.

The pocket in the flap is for the loading/takedown tool
