I wondered if there a test issued instuction manual that were distributed with the luger?

If you are referring to the US Army Test Trials Model 1900 Luger, the most likely manual furnished with the guns would have been DWM's first published manual, which oddly enough was printed in English before the US Army contract was made.

I should have known! Do the sell copies I hope!
|
I am not aware of any copies. Originals go for around $2K or more. They are very rare and I would imagine that an owner of an original would be reluctant to offer up his/her copy for reproduction. Unless the reproduction copies were clearly altered or marked in some fashion to preclude their being sold as originals, the risk of diminishing the value of true originals by fraudulent representation of the repros is not a pleasant thought.

I don't blame it at all!

I bought an older copy of a one on gunbroker, unsure of the model, not this manual. The manual I bought is printed on photo paper, looks fine, but I was disappointed.
I am unsure if the same people, but a guy (gal?) on ebay has bought scores of old manuals, scanned them in, then sells the original and then the repro's. Ed |
