Maybe a swap for the use of the picture for a place on links and resources under GENERAL SECTION. Couldnt hurt to ask?

it's certainly a thought... I did that with Bob Adams in exchange for letting us use the Borchardt pic. I just don't wanna do that too often... kinda like the Front Page to be the members showcase... yanno?

Since we are an ethical group of Luger collectors is it verboten to have a section of 'found on the web' Luger photos? I know that some people copyright their photos but an email (from our hard working, right on webmaster) would hopefully grant us an open invitation to use some photos. Any thoughts?

Hi Bill,


Anyone who takes a photograph automatically has a copyright interest in that photograph. So it is unwise (and potentially unlawful) to post any photo that does not belong to us - verboten indeed! OTOH, most folks will give their permission if asked

Sounds fair to me. I know that some folks are highly offended when some sites arbitrarily add them to their links, also. (Always better to ask first).
