Need help assessing the value of some Luger pistols

My uncle gave me a collection of seven Luger pistols and I need help assessing their value. Does anybody know of a good book or website that could help me out? Is there anybody near So. Oregon that could take a look at them and help determine a value? Any information would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.

Lots of books, but few with prices and those are usually outdated.

You can go to several websites and see values of retail lugers, and then condition is everything.

This is one of the only true sites that is specifically for lugers, so there is more information and experts here than almost anywhere else.

I know several collectors in Oregon, it is a big state and Southern Oregon could be lots of places.

List each one, markings, proofs, acceptance, if original blued, if nickled, etc.

Then provide some pictures, you might want to do 2 at a time, then 3, 3-4 pictures of each, full left, full right, top, front of frame, etc.

I will take better (macro) pictures of any items if needed. I have serial numbers and part numbers that are stamped and can post pictures if it would help. Please comment on the posts below, thank you again for the help.

the blue book of gun values by s.p. Fjestad does a great job assening values of lugers and in fact pretty much any firearm, give it a try. I once had an american eagle ss, it has been discussed in another thread. the blue book puts the value of a 98 percent , mitchell at 475.00. and stoeger about the same, if i am corect they are both made in houston texas.

Any useful information?

The stainless Lugers have a poor reputation for reliability. Today they go for $500-$700. The Interarms Mausers, in box with all papers; $800-$900, although I've seen people ask for more. Your two original Lugers would require much, much more info and proper photos to evaluate. You have a double stamped 1918, which if complete and correct with original finish is worth $1,000-$1,200. Your commercial .30 Luger is import marked, (CAIST A VT, M-23 GER 765 PARA NSA (57) so has lost collector value. This gun, if otherwise correct $700-$800. Your holsters need more info. One is damaged. Calculate maybe $100-$150 each, until we know more.

Cruise the Internet at places like Gunsamerica, AuctionArms, and Gunbroker and see what asking prices these days are. Look for stuff that sold quickly to determine the price tipping point..
Good Luck

Thank you for the reply.

Considering inflation, Interarms 4" in box is actually much cheaper than 15 years ago. Probably 50% cheaper.
