Real value of an Artillery rig
4 Attachment(s)
I would like to find out what the real value (not a give it away price, and not a head in the clouds price) of my 1916 Artillery Luger. It is all numbers matching, with number matching magazine, and number matching stock/holster. I also have a nice Trommel to go with it.

Hi Bill,
I think that your Artillery rig is one of the finest I've ever seen. Values and prices are, of course, what two people eventually agree on in a transaction. If you're interested in finding a value for insuring the rig, consider the retail value of a rig at simpsonltd.com or another site that does a large business in Lugers. Assuming everything is righteous in your rig (all matching, all original finish in high condition 97-99%) your rig would be priced at the higher end of the values on those sites. If you're considering selling it to a collector, the value would be less. This is because auction houses and retail dealers have to make a profit to cover their overheads. There is about a 30% markup over what you'd receive from an auction sale. Probably a similar markup to retail. I can't give you a value off hand. Others on the site may be able to. Marc |

This is probably the best artillery that I've seen. Why sell it now? The market is not good for seller these days.
I tuned the light a little bit, it looks beautiful. |
