Commercial Luger

I just picked up a 7.65x21mm Luger with serial number 1283 O. From looking through some old posts it seems like it was manufactured in the mid 20's. Can I get a confirmation?

Hi Tom,
Assuming it has crown/N commercial proofs it is classified as a DWM Alphabet commercial/1920 commercial. S#1283o was made in the latter part of 1925.

Thanks for the info. Yes it does have the crown/N commercial proofs. I am looking forward to doing a side-by-side test with my 1916 DWM 9mm next week at the range. I have never shot a 30 Luger before.
