Navy to Army luger

I'm looking at a rework job that is stated as being # 860 n and was issued as a Navy B/4 WWI and then reworked and re-barreled (4") as an Army for WWII. But I can't find # 860 in the long list of Navy Lugers; especially not one of the "n" suffix.
Anyone have anything to add to the scenario?
Could this be one that just needs added to the list?
thanx
Jack

Hi Jack, No Imperial Navy Lugers had serial numbers with an n suffix, or any suffix higher than b for that matter. Without seeing pictures there is no way to tell what you have there. Regards, Norm

I tried numerous times to load pics but can't get the routine to work. I have done many times before. frustrating.
Jack.
It can be seen at Gunbroker.com #265820967. Tell me what you think. I am interested in it but only if I can get satisfied that it's not a fake.
thanks

P.S. Where I had my trouble was that after I uploaded the pics I couldn't get out of the routine. I just needed to save and end the process but saw no way out and it wouldn't keep my pics and apply to the segment .

Hi Jack, It's #890a, not #890n. It's not an uninteresting gun, and as the seller says, it was a WWI Navy Luger that possible served in WW2 as well. I have to warn you though, that there is very little collector interest in these guns. Regards, Norm

I appreciate the wisdom in your response. Wish I understood why that is. I guess it's just that all that re-work stuff doesn't appeal to collectors - I would have thought that it would. I could see that there were no bidders on the item; which is an indication in itself to tread easily.
