IN RE 1920 Luger Carbine

Has anyone ever fired a carbine. Sometime next year if I can stay out of hospitals I want to fire my 1920 9mm carbine and would appreciate any helpful hints, among them is what kind of ammo should I use? Etc!!

If your 20's carbine is in 7.65P, it may require a bit hotter round than the normal .30 luger. If in 9mm, it may like +Ps, due to the added barrel weight. TH

Thanks Tom. Its definitly a 9mm. Where can I find the ammo you suggested?

Any stocking gun shop should have the hotter 9's in stock, which is what the +p is. But try the old white box stuff first and work up from there until it functions/feeds correctly. I'd hate to see something break from excessive hammering.

I pulled out my old ammo for a look! Too rare to fire!

I agree with David. First try your normal Winchester 9mm. If that functions OK, there is no need to try a hotter round. TH
