New guy checking in.
Hello,
Just checking and surfing for more info on the Luger. I have a Stoeger Luger in .22 and wanting more 9mm. I love my .22 Luger and need more info on it. I hope to find what I am looking for here. |
You probably won't find much on the .22 Lugers here, as this group is more focused on the 9mm and .30 cal. models, but welcome aboard and read all that you can. Should be a great learning experience.

Curtis, Like what specifically? |
Would like to know what year it was made. I called Stoeger with the serial number and they were no help at all. Also where can I get more mags and parts in general?
|
I think these were made from the late 1960's to the mid 1970's. Mine is serial # 713XX, bought new in 1974. Numrich has some parts. Also seen parts and magazines on gunbroker.com. Bought one there earlier this year.
It's a great little tack driver and fun (and cheap) to shoot. The girls love to shoot it because it's light, easy to operate, has almost no recoil, and is very accurate. I used to carry it in a holster when I went dove and quail hunting to shoot snakes, rabbits, squirrels, and anything else that needed a bullet. I have an extra instruction manual if you need one. PM me if interested. Good Luck, -ML |
Curtis, The Stoeger .22, performs best when feed HV ammo, such as CCI Stingers. Triple K makes new repro mags for this pistol, as the new originals are difficult to find and expensive. Don't ever take your luger completely apart, as connecting the trigger bar back up the the trigger is nearly impossible thru the small hole in the left side of the frame. TH

Triple K does have what Im looking for. It cycles faster than any of my current modern day semi-auto handguns. |

Mine will shoot any .22 LR, even hollowpoints with no malfunctions. Attached is a review from Guns magazine in 1969. Enjoy, -ML |
