An eric legal question
1 Attachment(s)
Can you legally shoot your artillery luger with any other stock. The problem is the leather connecting the board is fragile, close to a hundred years old. I have my carbine board which I would never use. Any suggestions. I do have my Navy. Is there a correct alternative? It may have been asked before but I don't remember!!

Technically, no. There is a very slim chance that the ATF agent hanging around your range knows the differene between an Artillery and Navy board stock, but who knows?
I would go out and buy a replica rig for fun at the range. Atlanta Cutlery has one I've been told is acceptable for the money, although you will probably have to tinker with the stock iron to get it to fit; http://www.atlantacutlery.com/p-1106...buttstock.aspx |

Yea, It would take one over zelous law enforcement officer to cause you a headache. Whats worse confiscate the evidence! All beause less than an inch!!~!But its the law! They are not legally interchangeable. My suggestion, buy a replica!!

Take both to the range...just in case.

A nice alternative for $149 includes all the leather and cleaning rod. Good to have to protect the genuine parts.

To comply with the law is always cheaper in the long run.
