old article

I post this here due to the included history of the re-introduction, I just stumbled across it moments ago.
A nice read if you haven't seen it before.
The modern bits are at the end.

its 17.2 megabytes, so huge for anyone on slow DSL or dial up.

Who is Jan Stevenson?

I think Gerben and Mauro covered most of this, but of course with up-dated info :)

I read that about a week ago, I was struck with the negativity concerning Lugers that this guy shows.

Jan Stevenson worked as a write for 'Gun Facts Magazine' in the 1960s. He visited the Mauser factory when they were getting ready for the production of the Mauser Parabellum, which turned up a couple of interesting shots of the frame machine steps, amongst others.

A copy of this article was found between the archive materiel we got from Mauser through Prof. Dr. Gminder.

I like Mr. Stevenson's Profile photo! I wonder how such a macho pose would go over today?

Hello all,
Good find...

We already discussed these articles years ago when I have bought one of the original copy Stevenson send back to Mauser for approval. Interesting to note that Stevenson wrote in German the original article and then was translated into English

Just read the old topic to find out additional interesting information...
