Need help on a p-38 holster
 

Gentlemen can you tell me anything on this variation of holster.

P-38 holster (Not marked p.38 on back no signs of p.08 either)

A Fisher Berlin 1939 maker mark

Luger type latch.

Walter..It's an early P-38 holster. The design before they settled on the common one we know today.

The pattern of the flap & low cut front, is that of a WW1 Walther M6 holster. Many of these were converted to use with the PO8 during the Weimar period. Perhaps that's what Fischer chose to copy in 1939. THis was also close to the pattern use on the earliest P38 hosters supplied to Sweden in 1939. TH
