What Happened To Hans Tauscher ?
 

Does anyone know what happened to Hans Tauscher, the original Luger sales representative in the USA prior-WWI ?


I read that he left the USA at the outbreak of WWI (or was he deported ?), but was he active in the Luger World during the Weimar era ?

Tauscher was interned for part of the war and lost his business. After the war, he returned to New York and went back into business. Sometime in the mid 1930s, he sold his business and returned to Germany, some speculate at the call of the Abwehr. From this point forward, nothing is known of Herr Tauscher.
